Day 4- afternoon

While I had my "out", blogging downstairs...Taleah was having a great time. These pictures just show that she is getting used to it. Part of me hates that this is now the way that she plays "pretend", but because we don't have control of what life throws at us... we will take it!

She was ordering her lunch from the cafeteria. "French fries with ketsup, pink milkshake, strawberries and mac-n-cheese!"

She painted grammy's nails...or more like her fingers. They look beautiful.

They decided to play pretend...Taleah was pretending to be Dr. Kerri Smith. She told my mom ," Your heart says bump bump!"

Her new dog Ledgie (from Kaelee) was the patient. She said, "Hold your arm still. It's just giving you a hug (blood pressure). Hold still Ledgie. Ok. Now I will cover your eyes and hold your hand cause you are scared. It's ok!"

Kind of broke my heart but at the same time makes me happy. She might is coming to terms with her new life. Embrace it right!?
Keep it up Taleah. You have lots of support coming your way!

  1. Seriously I know I just commented on the last post and all of them before that, but I am in amazement of how well she is taking all this. It took us at least two months to start even liking anything or anyone that had anything to do with the medical world. She is one AMAZING little girl. Is she like two years old going on 20? I can't wait to meet her!

  7. You are all so brave! I'm sure you get sick of hearing how strong you are. But it's true. No one knows their own strength until they have to dig to find it. We are praying hard for all of you. I hope you get to go home soon and find out truly how many people are rooting for your family.

  8. My sister informed me of your blog, and I have to comment. We also have a daughter named Tayleah. She is now 5 and just started kindergarten. She also had to go to PCMC to get her tumor out and start her fight with cancer almost 2 years ago. Good luck with everything - your family will be in our prayers. We will be following your blog so please keep updating.

  9. Heard of your blog through the Sullenger's. My husband was diagnosed with ALL in 2003. There is nothing worse that watching someone you love struggle with something you have no control over. He is 8 years in remission and doing better thane ver. Those were a long three years of treatments and all that goes with this. Just wanted to wish you and your daughter well. You can do this. It will be long and hard, but you can do it.
